Burn Restrictions
The burn ban was lifted as of October 1, 2025 for residential (4 x 4 x 3) yard debris and recreational fires. All outdoor burning requires attendance and to have a backup plan in place to prevent uncontrolled burning. A water source, shovel and extinguisher should be available.
The Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has raised fire-danger ratings to ‘moderate’ for much of Western Washington. Due to their concerns about wildfire dangers, ORCAA has suspended its Land Clearing Burn program. Currently, the DNR burn restrictions cover all six counties within ORCAA’s jurisdiction The permit program will reopen when DNR deems it fire-safe to do so.
